About Assistive Technology
The Dorothy Pace Assistive Technology Assessment Center (ATAC) provides technology-focused assessment, consultation and professional development to improve curriculum access and functional independence to students with a range of physical, communication and learning disabilities, and complex medical conditions. ATAC has five main components.
Screenings: Gather information regarding functional vision skills and physical access of technology. |
Classroom Consult: In-House problem solving with team members regarding student specific technology issues. |
Evaluation: Full evaluation resulting in recommendations regarding technology solutions to complete classroom activities. Completed upon request from student’s family or district. |
Technology Profile: Summary of technology used by the student to access curriculum. Completed upon request from family or district. |
Education: Trainings to students, staff and family members for technology students are using to access the curriculum. |
