Capstone

We provide highly specialized instruction for young adults based on each student’s vision for their future, which may include post-secondary education, employment and adult living. Our transition curriculum is tied to the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks and students’ individualized needs. Students may continue to work towards fulfilling graduation requirements, including state testing, such as MCAS. During their regular schedule, students have the opportunity to deepen relationships with their peers and community at large. They continue to explore interests through a variety of elective specials, integrated therapies and social and emotional learning opportunities. Community instruction, targeted transition and vocational skills, and students’ self-determination are a cornerstone of Capstone programming.
