Cotting School moved from St. Botolph Street in Boston to its current location, on Concord Avenue in Lexington, in 1988. Our 14-acre campus includes a 90,000 square foot main school facility, Carmichael House, Carl More House and the Mary Perry Building.
In 2021, we celebrated the addition of our new Campus Center with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. This 25,000 square foot state-of-the-art addition houses a full, regulation-sized gymnasium for basketball and other sports, an ADA-compliant candlepin bowling alley, a fitness center and a two-story, fully accessible rock-climbing wall. It also offers two new classrooms for performing and visual arts, music, filmmaking, photography and other arts programs. A new social studies classroom on the lower floor provides extra space for teaching and learning.
Additional renovations to the main school building were completed in 2022. This included a significant upgrade to the Kiva, Vocational/Occupational Therapy Skills Lab, Elise R. Wallace Learning Commons, classrooms and hallways. In addition, Health Services expanded and the former gymnasium was transformed into a spectacular OT/PT area.
