In partnership with Zeno Mountain Farm and the Cotting PTO, we are proud to host a screening of their first feature length film, Best Summer Ever, an original inclusive musical featuring eight original songs and a fully integrated cast and crew of people with and without disabilities. This event is free of charge & open to the public. We hope to see many Cotting community members there!
The Cotting PTO will host a concession stand where various refreshments will be available for sale. Please note that parents will be responsible for their children and adapted feeding equipment will not be available.
Prior to viewing the movie, guests will get to see a short documentary about the filmmaking process. Additionally, Cotting alumni (Alex McDonald ’10, Sara Frost ’10, Josh Lilley ’07, and Sara Young ’21) who appear in the film will join the directors for a special Q&A session after the film. Special thanks to Peter Halby and the entire Zeno Mountain Farm crew for their generosity in bringing this screening to Cotting!
About the movie:
Rated PG-13. Sage (Shannon DeVido) and Anthony (Rickey Wilson, Jr.) have had the “Best Summer Ever” after falling in love at a dance camp in Vermont. Not expecting to see each other again until the following summer, Sage, by a twist of fate, arrives unexpectedly at the same high school as Anthony. Now faced with the drama of high school cliques, an evil cheerleader, and the illegal secret that keeps Sage’s family on the move, they are forced to reevaluate their relationship as Tony struggles to be both the high school football star and the dancer he’s always wanted to be.
