This morning marked the beginning of yet another year at Cotting School!  Our entire staff gathered for orientation this morning to prepare for the students’ arrival next Wednesday. We were fortunate to hear from Patrick Downes, a friend to Cotting and also a Boston Marathon bombing survivor, who shared his story of recovering from this tragedy.  He conveyed his deep appreciation for caregivers, including the doctors, nurses, therapists, prostheticists, friends, and family who have supported his journey to recovery, which continues today.  He drew a connection from his experience to ours as special educators, emphasizing the great impact we have... 123rd year at Cotting ends with Staff Awards!

The end of the school year calls for a special gathering of all staff and faculty at Cotting School. Our President, Dave Manzo offered congratulatory remarks to every member of the Cotting staff and took time to present special recognition awards to individuals who have been members of the Cotting staff for ten, fifteen, twenty, and twenty-five years! 2016 Cotting Fellow

Julianne Sullivan has been selected as the 2016 Cotting Fellow. She has worked at Cotting School as a program assistant and classroom teacher. A licensed educator in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Julianne received her B.A. cum laude from Bridgewater State University. She will begin her studies in July 2015 at Bridgewater State pursuing a Master’s of Education in Special Education- Severe Disabilities.
