PTO End of Year Update
That’s a wrap, Cotting parents and caregivers! We are at the end of another school year and the PTO has been busy hosting events to bring families together and to show appreciation for our tremendous staff. We couldn’t do it without your generous donations and people-powered support. We wanted to share some of the highlights…
In February we surprised the staff again with a lounge stocked with snacks and beverages. There were smiles all around. A big thanks to Colleen Mutrie, Heidi Mann, Kate Goldlust for setting up and to you, the caregivers for your generous donations.
Staff were treated to a delicious sub sandwich feast on their March Professional Development Day thanks to a generous donation by the Cancro family.
Thanks to parents, Ali Premo and Jacki Dubois, for organizing fun caregiver socials at local restaurants this Winter (west of Boston) and Spring (NorthShore). Parents have commented it’s been a key way to connect with with others to share and get new insights on how to navigate the complexities we face with our kids, as well as get a much needed night out.
We rounded out the year, in the shape of a cookie topped with ice cream, with the Cookie Monstah Ice Cream Truck making a visit during Teacher Appreciation Week in May.

The Cotting School Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is an all-volunteer nonprofit organization whose membership includes parents, legal guardians and school staff. Our mission is to foster a sense of community for Cotting families located throughout Massachusetts and New Hampshire. We aim to connect families and enhance the social aspect of education by coordinating various events throughout the year. Sponsorships, donations and fundraisers subsidize our annual budget. Parent involvement is essential to the success of all Cotting School PTO events.
