A Message from Health Services
Mycoplasma pneumoniae and Bordetella pertussis (Whooping Cough) are spreading in Massachusetts, particularly among school age children and adolescents. The Massachusetts Department of Public Health (MDPH) is asking Massachusetts school nurses to inform care providers to consult with their primary care providers if their children exhibit respiratory symptoms and to ensure that all patients are up to date on DTaP and Tdap vaccines when possible.
Learn more about Whooping Cough and Mycoplasma pneumoniae from the CDC and as always, contact your primary care provider if you have any questions or concerns about how this impacts your Cotting Student.
