We are pleased to announce that registration for our Conference, Making Things Possible: Educating the Whole Child, is now available. The Conference will take place on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at Cotting School.
Each year, Cotting School offers a full day of learning for professionals, parents and caregivers of students with disabilities. Through the support of a generous donor, attendees can participate in sessions, visit with vendors and network over a light lunch, free of charge.
We hope you will plan to join us for Making Things Possible: Educating the Whole Child on Saturday, November 18, 2017, from 8:00 am – 4:00 pm. Take a look at this year’s program!
Cotting Welcomes Keynote Speakers – Patrick and Deborah Downes
Friends of Cotting School and dedicated advocates for people with disabilities are two ways to describe our keynote speakers, Patrick Downes and Deborah Downes; a dynamic mother and son duo! Patrick, a Survivor of the Boston Marathon bombing in 2013, will speak about his story and his deep appreciation for caregivers, including the doctors, nurses, therapists, prosthetists, friends, and family who provide whole person support in their roles every day. His mother Deborah, formerly a special education teacher, has drawn many connections from her family’s experience receiving care and support to the great impact parents, teachers, and caregivers have on the whole lives of people with and without disabilities.
