You’ll find Cotting students engaged in all kinds of new projects throughout the Extended Year Program. From drawing, to soccer, to tie-dyeing t-shirts, they’ve done it all! Several students recently participated in a unique photography lesson with Ms. Singer. They used pinhole cameras to take some pictures by the Cotting gazebo. Preparation for the photo shoot required great attention to detail, as well as a lot of patience! Our students and staff are making the most of their time at Cotting this summer! The extended year program typically includes some time for students to try new activities that enhance and complement the school-year curriculum. See below for a few examples of the great things happening in our classrooms during week one! In the art room, Mr. Ironfield is currently teaching a lesson on “Perspective Self-Portraits.” Over in the auditorium, Ms. Hodson leads a class through a Yoga routine! Extended Year Summer Adventures 2014 What a great summer we’ve had so far at Cotting! A visit to the spray park, coutrigger canoe trips with AccesSports during Circle of Friends, independent living skills practice with SALSE, entrepreneurial adventures, community trips, academics and community work all made for an adventurous, educational and FUN summer!
