When: Trunk set up from 4-5 p.m. & Trick or Treat from 5-7 p.m.

Where: Cotting School Campus Center parking lot

What: Music, crafts and a prize for the most creative trunk!

Announcing the 2022 Cotting Senior Class Officers!

The Senior Class held its election for class officers last Friday. Each candidate prepared and made a speech, and we are very happy to announce the results:

Cotting Conversations: Development of Self

Join us for a panel discussion about how families help their children with special needs understand their disability and how this may evolve as they get older. This event is FREE and open to the public!

Save the Date: Parent/Teacher Conferences on November 16

Parent/teacher conferences are scheduled to take place on Wednesday, November 16. Sign-up sheets will be sent home to families next week. Each family will have the option to sign up for either a 30-minute in-person meeting OR to pick a time slot for a virtual meeting. The first time  slot is for 1:30 p.n. and the last is for 6:30 p.m. You will also have the option to request that your student’s clinical team members join the conference.

Wings for Autism

Where: Boston Logan Airport, Terminal E

Time: 9 a.m.

 

A free event!

Travel is stressful in general, but can be particularly stressful for families who have a child with special needs.

 

Come take a “test run.” Gain the familiarity and confidence necessary to take future trips.

 

Your child will experience:

  • Entering the airport
  • The check-in process and checking bags
  • Security screening
  • Boarding the plane
  • Preparing for take-off
  • Exiting the plane

Adaptive Skating for All Ages Across Massachusetts

November 9, 2022-March 25, 2023

Brockton, East Boston, Holyoke and Worcester

Free admission and equipment use. Lace up a pair of conventional skates or slide around the ice in your wheelchair.

  • Ice sleds, skate walkers, helmets, ice grippers are also available.
  • Activities may include obstacle courses, a block tower, races, colorful balls and pucks to shoot around, and gently competitive hockey matches.

PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED

  • Buffone Skating Rink – Worcester. Mondays, 1:00 pm–3:30 pm. January 16, February 27, March 20.
  • Fitzpatrick Skating Rink –Holyoke. Sundays, 11:30 am–2:00 pm. November 20, December 4, March 5, 12, and 26.
  • Porrazzo Skating Rink – East Boston. Tuesdays, 11:00 am–1:30 pm, November 9, December 7, January 18, February 15, March 15.

Universally Accessible Treehouse at Simonds Park in Burlington

Meet us in the trees for the GRAND OPENING of the Universally Accessible Treehouse at Simons Park in Burlington, MA! Join us on Saturday, November 19 from 1-5 p.m. for a visit with the treehouse, games, activities and family fun.
