Congratulations to Our Graduating Seniors and Their Families!

“Have a belief in yourself that is bigger than anyone’s disbelief.”

August Wilson

From early on, families take on the important work of holding and carrying this belief for their children, and this act of love has helped them to arrive at this day. In this milestone, and in the many to come, we all celebrate their growing capacity to carry this belief for themselves.

Information to Share with Families About the Formula Shortage

The pandemic and other factors are continuing to impact the availability of supplies, including infant formula. The Department of Public Health’s Woman, Infant and Children (WIC) Program has updated its website with important information to help WIC participants obtain formula for their children. Additionally, the American Academy of Pediatrics offers tips for families and caregivers who are struggling to find baby formula during the shortage. Families should talk with their pediatrician about safe and appropriate feeding alternatives for their children.

AANE Webinar: Driving with Autism – Five Things Your Driving School Won’t Teach You

June 21, 2022, 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm – Fee $25

Register now and watch this webinar live or later on-demand here.

DESCRIPTION: Driving schools cover a wide range of topics, such as traffic laws, road signs and traffic signals, road safety rules and more. Driving lessons may start out in a parking lot, progress to local roads, then highways, and crowded city streets. Not a lot of research has been done on what’s the best way for autistic individuals to learn how to drive or to cope with some of the ongoing challenges of driving. In this webinar, we take more of a “grassroots” approach. We know what helps autistic individuals learn to drive and be successful at it, because we are those individuals.

SPEAKER:

Andrew Arboe: Founder of  Driving with Autism
