Cotting School Alumni from the classes of 2000-2006 gathered for an afternoon of dancing and reminiscing about the old days! Nearly 40 alumni, parents, and current and former Cotting staff were on hand catch up and find out what everyone has been up to for the past 10 or 15 years!
While Cotting School gladly hosts the Alumni Reunion each Spring, this most recent event was something new. Two particular alumni from the class of 2003- Bethany Sabbag and Alana Russo – presented Cotting with a new idea last spring. “We love the Cotting reunion each year, but that event spans so many decades of Cotting alumni. We’d like to host an event with just those classmates with whom we shared our time here. Perhaps a dance on a weekend in the fall?” From there, the planning began. They collected lists and contact information, and put together an invitation. The RSVPs began rolling in, and before you know it, they were hanging streamers, playing music, and seeing old friends for the first time in over a decade!
For our alumni and their parents, the afternoon served as a reminder of how important the Cotting School years were – and perhaps still are. The bonds and the memories are not forgotten, and as long as this group comes together every so often, the good times are bound to continue!
