One of the fun units in this summer’s “Tech for Life” classrooms had students looking closely at some of the more popular social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, and Snapchat. The class visited this Epic! page to research the different platforms, and then choose their favorite to further explore. Curriculum Institute Tackles Differentiated Math Instruction

This summer three Cotting teachers: Andy Lindblad, Sejal Costa, and John Meredith, are focused on the research and development of Math curriculum and instruction methods. Their summer work is funded by The Peabody Foundation will result in new differentiated Math lessons, and important focus on how Math lessons at Cotting School work in cross-curricular fashion to meet the learning needs of our students. Thorndike Fellowship Winner Looks to Enhance Popular Programming

Ms. Lola Piscopo has been awarded Cotting School’s Augustus Thorndike Fellowship for the summer of 2018. Lola’s project, entitled “Better Buddies”, was selected from a group of outstanding proposals from a number of Cotting School faculty and staff applicants. This summer Lola will refine the quality and expand the scope of Best Buddies programming at Cotting School through this Fellowship. Best Buddies envisions a world where people with Intellectual and Developmental Disability (IDD) are successfully integrated into schools, workplaces, and communities.
