News and Updates from an Exciting Fall Season at Cotting School

November 28, 2017

Fall 2017 has been an exciting time at Cotting School! Did you know that Cotting hosts a Conference each year in the month of November? We do, and each year is different with new themes and content. Cotting’s fifth annual “Making Things Possible” Conference took place on November 18, 2017. The Conference theme “Educating the Whole Child” was infused in every part of the day! The day began with a powerful Keynote address by Deborah and Patrick Downes, and was followed by four sessions of content-rich workshop selections delivered by workshop leaders sharing evidence-based, practical strategies in hands-on sessions and discussions throughout the day. Our vendor fair was brimming with networking and social conversation about whole child centered resources.

You’re invited to join us next year when we welcome a special guest, Andrew Solomon, author of Far from the Tree: Parents, Children, and the Search for Identity. Mark your calendar for Saturday, November 17, 2018. Follow us on Social Media or join our mailing list for updates!

You can read more about what’s happening at Cotting in our Fall 2017 Cotting Connection. You’ll learn about the determined work of Cotting students who are seeking paths to their high school diplomas, learn about a new Cotting program for students ages 18-22 entitled Capstone, and you can read about the work of Cotting Faculty members who spent their summer developing Mathematics instruction as part of Cotting’s Summer Curriculum Institute.

Thank you for sharing our excitement about this Fall and looking forward to 2018 with us!
