Cotting School is proud to share the news that David W. Manzo, our school’s President, was elected President of the Board of Directors of the Massachusetts Association of 766 Approved Private Schools (MAAPS).
MAAPS is comprised of 87 schools, serving 7,000 students with complex special needs.
Manzo will lead a group of committed educators from across the Commonwealth who are dedicated to high quality educational and therapeutic services. He looks forward to continuing MAAPS’ rich history of advocacy.
A lifelong educator, Manzo has led two MAAPS member schools, COMPASS (1984-2004) and Cotting (2004-Present). He joined the MAAPS Board of Directors in 1985, has served in numerous leadership positions, and was the 2015 recipient of the MAAPS Service Award.
Manzo has been on the faculty of Boston College since 1980 and also serves on the Board of Directors of Pine Street Inn and Haley House in Boston.
