This summer four members of the Cotting teaching faculty dedicated their summer to developing literacy curriculum for students at Cotting with complex communication disorders. Cotting’s Summer Curriculum Institute, first launched in 2010, gives faculty members the opportunity to be paid through the summer session to work solely on curriculum development. In school settings more typical than Cotting, the school district formats a comprehensive curriculum that corresponds to the state framework and meets the needs of a majority of students in the district who are performing at or near grade-level. Our student population is so diverse in age and ability that we cannot rely on the standard... Free Conference: “Making Things Possible: All Things Tech”

For the third year, Cotting School is offering a full day of learning for parents and caregivers of students with disabilities and interested professionals.  Through the support of a generous donor, attendees can participate in sessions, visit with vendors and network over a light lunch free of charge. Focusing on the theme of technology, a variety of evidence-based, practical strategies will be shared at presentations, hands-on sessions and discussions throughout the day.
