On Thursday evening, six Upper School students represented Cotting School at the Suffolk University Newspaper Competition. Thirty-four schools from the greater Boston area participated and students had the opportunity to socialize with each other and hear from Sean Murphy, an investigative reporter from The Boston Globe. They had a great time! Pictured above, left to right: Austin, Mr. Teuber, Craig, Chris, Ms. Dowd, Julie, Ms. White, Alesky, Jackie and Ms. Flowers. On Friday, three Upper School classrooms hosted the Lexington Youth Commission and worked on a joint service project to benefit the guests of Waltham’s Community Day Center. The group made “Life Kits” containing critical hygiene items that are of particular use to those who are living in shelters. In addition, the Lexington Youth Commission delivered books they’ve collected for Cotting’s Amazon book store, as they have for the last three years. To see more photos, visit us on Facebook.
