Laura Newton has been awarded the inaugural Augustus Thorndike Fellowship for the summer of 2010. This is a portrait picture of her.
I am pleased to announce that Laura Newton has been awarded the inaugural Augustus Thorndike Fellowship for the summer of 2010. Laura’s project was selected from a group of outstanding proposals.
This summer Laura will expand the Cotting School Community Trip Curriculum. Her methods will include: reviewing current materials, linking community trips to the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks, developing pre- and post trip materials to support and reinforce learning goals and organizing materials for teachers.

I want to extend my thanks to all who applied or nominated their fellow faculty members. As you know, the Augustus Thorndike Fellowship was endowed by the Thorndike family and will be available every summer to a member of our staff. I encourage Cotting staff members to apply for the summer of 2011.

Congratulations to Laura Newton!!!!
