UPPER SCHOOL

Some students spend the majority of the school day with a single instructor, visiting other classrooms for enrichment programs. Others move from classroom to classroom, building on the independence they've already achieved. Different classes emphasize different skills. Some focus on social skills such as initiating conversations and learning to deal with conflict.

Others may follow a college preparatory curriculum, including mastering algebra and writing research papers. In all cases, teachers' individual attention is gradually reduced as students become more independent. At the conclusion of their final year, all students participate in a graduation ceremony and receive a diploma or certificate of completion.
