Occupational Therapy
Cotting School’s occupational therapists address students’ upper extremity motor performance, basic sensory functioning, visual perceptual and visual motor skills, and the ability to plan tasks for classroom success and activities of daily living required for independence.

"Most Cotting students receive OT at some point. OT looks at students' abilities to perform activities of daily living to make sure they are able to use everything they need in a functional way. We want students to learn problem solving, advocacy, and independence on their own. We can help the family help the child, because the more independent a child can be reduces the stress in the family."
